Keep going about Joe Biden

According to WP, Mr. Biden used to have stuttering when he was a child. Although his family was not doing well, Biden soon showed his resilience by overcoming difficulties to attend two universities, the University of Delaware and Syracuse University Law School. Graduated from school, he pursued a career in politics early.

Biden married in 1966, with his first wife, Neilia Hunter. The couple had three children, Joseph Beau Biden III was born in 1969, Robert Hunter Biden was born in 1970 and Naomi Christina was born in 1971. "Everything was going faster than I expected," Biden said of his life at the time.

Mr. Biden once told Ms. Neilia Hunter about his intention to become a federal senator at the age of 30 and then become President. Biden did the first thing with the help and witness of Mrs. Neilia in 1972.

However, a week after Mr. Biden was elected to the US Senate at the age of 29, his first wife Neilia and his newborn daughter were killed in a catastrophic car accident just before Christmas. His two sons, Hunter and Beau, were seriously injured and were hospitalized. Biden seemed to have collapsed.

"I thought of suicide, but I didn't do it. I imagined myself going to the Delaware Memorial Bridge, jumping down and ending everything," Biden said of his difficult time with CNN. "But I never get in a car and drive there, or anything like that."

In his words, his sons Beau and Hunter were the reason he went on. "My real saviors are my sons," Mr. Biden said.

Overcoming his family tragedy, Mr. Biden decided to live up to a pledge he made to represent the Delaware people in the Senate. He skipped the inauguration ceremony for new senators in Washington and instead took the oath of office from his sons' ward.

To spend more time with his children, he continued to live in Wilmington, Delaware. He got up early every day to take a train to Washington to work, a habit he then maintained throughout his term in the Senate.

From 1973 to 2009, Biden's political career was very successful. During his time in the Senate, he has proven himself to be one of the top foreign policy experts, even being selected as the Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

Biden's foreign policy highlights included support for limiting strategic arms to the Soviet Union, promoting peace and stability in the Balkans, expanding NATO to Eastern Europe, and opposing the Second Gulf War. First ... Biden is also a fiercely opposed war in Iraq that US President George W. Bush launched, as well as an increase in troops in Iraq in 2007.

Outside of foreign affairs, Mr. Biden is also a outspoken proponent of stiffer anti-crime laws. In 1994, he sponsored the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act to add 100,000 police and increase penalties for a wide range of crimes.

In decades of pursuing a political career, Mr. Biden twice ran for US President, the first time in 1987, when he was Chairman of the US Senate Judiciary Committee. He reaped many advantages at the early stage, but quickly caught a wave of outrage over plagiarism scandals from college to presidential election.

The evidence was then uncovered by the media repeatedly. Mr. Biden admitted part of the mistake and withdrew from the race to enter the White House in 1988. At the same time, doctors discovered he had an aneurysm, forced to undergo 9 hours of surgery and recovery. After 7 months, he was able to get healthy again and continue working in the Senate.

In 2007, 20 years after the first unsuccessful presidential election, Mr. Biden once again decided to run for US President. But his policies at that time did not help him prevail over two candidates at that time, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.

When Obama became the candidate of the Democratic Party in the 2008 race, the black presidential candidate suddenly chose Mr. Biden as his companion. This is ultimately the correct choice, as Obama wins over his rival, Republican Senator John McCain.

On January 20, 2009, Mr. Obama was sworn in as the 44th President of the United States, the first black President, and Mr. Biden became the 47th Vice President. The same Obama - Biden pair won another term. again in 2012.

In addition to his personal life, 5 years after the death of his first wife, Mr. Biden remarried to his second wife, Jill Biden, since 1977. The couple has a daughter named Ashley, born in 1981. It seemed that his private life would go away in peace from then on, but on May 30, 2015, Biden suffered another huge loss when his son Beau died at the age of 46 because brain cancer. Biden once considered running for president, but gave up in October 2015.

On January 12, 2017, before his second term ended, at the White House, President Obama gave Biden the Medal of Freedom and commended him as "the best Vice President America has ever had" and " the lion of American history ”. At that time, Mr. Biden was extremely surprised and could not hold back tears.

Biden was said to have "retired" when the administration of President Donald Trump took office on January 20, 2017, at the age of 73, but in the end resting was not his choice.
