However, if you think about it, ‘standing-out’ is just another way of saying ‘out-standing’. We think the quote is saying everyone has a unique purpose, that each of us is here be outstanding in some way that only they can be.
And we do face pressure to fit in. It’s natural and very common to worry that if people know who we really are, if we stand out, people might not like what they see. No one likes feeling like an idiot or unacceptable.
